Officer Garcia joined the San Antonio Police Department in 2008. Prior to becoming a recruiter, Officer Garcia worked on the west side of San Antonio as a patrol officer and was part the West Patrol Substation Crisis Response Team. Officer Garcia has received several commendations for apprehensions and has been awarded a Life Saving Award.
Prior to becoming a San Antonio Police Officer, Officer Garcia served five years in the United States Marine Corps. Officer Garcia was then deployed to Iraq and served as a Marine Security Guard at different embassies and consulates around the world. As a Marine Security Guard Officer Garcia served in Moscow, Russia, Frankfurt, Germany, and Ghana.
While serving with the San Antonio Police Department, Officer Garcia received his associate’s and bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Wayland Baptist University. Officer Garcia is currently working on his master’s degree in Criminal justice.
Officer Garcia was born and raised in California and is a first generation American. Officer Garcia is proud to have been the first in his family to serve his country and proud to call himself a Texan missing nothing about California- except for the weather.In his free time, Officer Garcia enjoys the best aspect of his life- His Family.
