Join the women of SAPD for our 2nd Annual Women’s Situational Awareness: Self-Protection event!

Women interested in joining the San Antonio Police Department (SAPD) can get some real-world training before applying or entering the Academy!

Participants will have the opportunity to run through the SAPD Physical Agility Test (obstacle course), take part in self-protection training scenarios and will also participate in a one-on-one intimate dialogue with two SAPD officers in a classroom setting.

Due to the high-demand of this event, there are limited spots available. So we encourage you to sign up as soon as possible!

Age requirement for this event is restricted to ages 18-44yrs old.

Doors open for sign-in from 7:30am – 7:50am

I agree to the 'Assumption of Risk and Release of Claims Agreement'
I do hereby acknowledge and agree to the following:

1. I am fully aware that I may be exposed to injury, dangers and hazards which may arise in connection with participation in the 2023 SAPD Women in Policing Event held on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at the San Antonio Police Academy and I knowingly assume the aforementioned risks.

2. I, my heirs, agents, assigns or other legal representatives, do hereby release and forever discharge the City of San Antonio, its agents, employees, successors, assigns or other legal representatives, from any and all claims arising out of or which may arise out of any accident, injury or occurrence resulting from the aforesaid.

3. This release extends to all claims, demands, damages, actions, causes of action, or suits in law or in equity, of any kind or nature, accruing or to accrue by virtue of the aforesaid participation in the 2023 SAPD Women in Policing Event or any other circumstance arising out of my participation.

4. I further agree to indemnify the City of San Antonio and its employees, agents, or other legal representatives, individually and collectively, from and against any and all costs, claims, damages, losses, expenses, fees, fines, penalties, proceedings, actions, demands, causes of action, liability and suits of any kind and nature, including but not limited to, personal or bodily injury, death and property damage resulting from my conduct, acts, omissions, or negligence or that of the City of San Antonio and its employees or agents.

5. I understand that I am forbidden from using SAPD property, facilities or equipment without the authorization of and supervision by SAPD personnel.

I further acknowledge that I am fully aware that if I do not execute this assumption of risk and release of claims, I will not be permitted to participate in the 2023 SAPD Women in Policing Event.
